Our “Retreat 2.0” in Centerville, UT on June 11th proved to be a wonderful chance to dig deeper into core Power of Moms topics including Taking Care of the Me in the Mom and Building Effective Family Systems. We limited our group to about 40 and were able to spend a lot of the day really working in small groups to learn from each other and think about our own individual needs and solutions. What wonderful women! Plus we enjoyed delicious sandwiches from Kneaders Bakery as part of a scrumptious lunch. Thank you Kneaders for helping make this event possible!
Here’s what participants had to say about the Retreat (in emails and in the anonymous surveys completed at the close of the Retreat):
- It’s funny . . . with my background . . . unique upbringing, full-time working mom, child with a disability, etc. sometimes I feel like I am the only one in my kind of situation, experiencing my unique circumstances. In actuality, we each do experience life in our own unique ways. But, meeting so many amazing women at the Power of Mom Retreats has made it clear to me that I am, in no way, alone. Other women may struggle with different challenges . . . but, none of us are alone in the range of emotions we feel each day. And, there are so many bright women that are all dedicated to a similar mission. I love the chance to share and learn and grow together.
- What a treat, actually a FEAST! I appreciated meeting so many wonderful moms and having my spirit and soul fed so abundantly.
- Thank you for such an amazing experience on Saturday. I get more and more excited about the future of my family every time I read an article on Power of Moms, reread notes from the Retreat, share with other moms and families what I’ve learned and look into the eyes of my children. I have more patience, more clarity and more understanding than ever before. I’ve realized that I like where we are and where we are going as a family.
- I loved hearing from the key trainers – Saren, April, and Tiffany. The were good, brief, and thought provoking. Then all that they taught was “engrained” when we discussed it together and shared our ideas! Every woman their had valuable things to teach. I also loved hearing from Courtney (Courtney Kendrick of the blog CJane) near the beginning of the day, she really inspired me and that set the stage for getting more out of everything else. What a wonderful day!
We’re working on our schedule of Retreats for the fall. Check out our tentative dates HERE and please be sure you’re on our email list so we can let you know when registration opens for each Retreat.
