In this week’s episode, Saren interviews her sister Saydi about the simple, kid-friendly Christ-centered Easter activities she does with her family each year. Gathering ideas from many sources, Saydi has created a plan for how families can celebrate Christ’s miracles, teachings, Atonement, death and resurrection in tangible and beautiful ways (linked in the show notes below).
*** While Power of Families is not associated with any particular faith or religion, this particular podcast episode is Christian-centered.

Thanks for this podcast! We did several of the Easter week ideas that you shared via the blog article which was also on Power of Moms last year. My favorite part was having so many videos/movies to share, and the simple Passover meal. A Resurrection Sunday tradition we tried last year was having a scavenger hunt instead of an Easter egg hunt (inspired by this one:https://happyhomefairy.com/easter-morning-scavenger-hunt-free-printable/) where each clue/location had something to do with a part of the Easter story (ex: for the clue that referred to the Last Supper was in the kitchen, the one about the Garden of Gethsemane was outside, the one about when He died was in our big, dark master closet…). I liked this because we wanted a bunny-free tradition, while still getting to celebrate with gifts and fun in a way that reinforced why we celebrate Easter. I’m super excited to have Saydi’s idea about the stations of the Cross because I think I can find a way to incorporate that into the scavenger hunt as well, or perhaps keep it a separate, reflective and somber tradition. Thanks for the great ideas and play list!

It looks like Saydi’s Easter Activities Guide has been deleted. Could you email it to me? I remember looking at it in past years and loved the in depth focus the month before Easter.
